Who is Mandy Baker Johnson?
This blog is dedicated to our precious unborn twins, Two and Three. They were conceived by IVF on 29th April 2006, and were graded II and III, hence their names. Adrian and I saw them – on a television screen - for the first time on 1st May 2006 when they were transferred to me, and I carried them for almost two weeks before sadly losing them both.
I am looking forward to seeing Two and Three again one day – in Heaven – and I cannot wait!
Adrian and I have been happily married since 1999. We are both Bible believing Christians who love Jesus Christ. Adrian became a Christian at the age of 15 and I became a Christian when I was about 9 or 10 years old. We both realised, even at those young ages, that the wrong in our lives cut us off from having a relationship with God. We asked the Lord Jesus to forgive us and thanked Him for dying and taking the punishment we deserved. Praise God that Jesus rose again from the dead and now we are His friends. We were both baptised in the Holy Spirit after joining Grace Church, a Newfrontiers church. I received the Spirit in October 2009, and Adrian received Him a few months later.
Jesus became even more precious to me in 2010 when I was ill with constant vertigo and severe migraines which resulted in episodic cerebellar ataxia and ME (chronic fatigue). For several months, I was unable to do very much. Even shuffling around the house was a struggle and it could take me 20 minutes just to make a cup of tea. During that time, I experienced the joy and peace of the Holy Spirit as never before. It was an impossible joy that bubbled up within me regardless of the circumstances. Praise God, He chose to heal me. Read the full story.
Adrian works as a web designer and IT consultant. I am a self-employed private medical secretary and ghost writer. I provide a secretarial service to a speech and language consultant on Wimpole Street, and run the private practice of a consultant dermatologist in Wolverhampton. I also ghost write reports for a Christian mission organisation.
I was delighted to be invited onto the committee for the Association of Christian Writers at the beginning of 2013 as administrator.
I love reading. My favourite book is the Bible; my favourite authors include John Piper, John Grisham, Lee Child, Michael Connelly and Francine Rivers. I have recently taken up line dancing again.
It would be great to hear from you, feel free to contact me.
